State Resources
Families can also access additional post-adoption services through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Statewide resources include referrals to counseling, parent support groups, respite care, training opportunities, crisis intervention, and other services designed to help adoptive families navigate the challenges and joys of life after adoption. These services are available to eligible adoptive families throughout Texas, regardless of where they live.
